Black holes in space, as we all know, ‘swallow’ anything found before them. All objects that fall into the trap of black holes get lost in the “eternal oblivion.” All? “No” replied Vyacheslav Dokuchaev, scientist of the Institute of Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Russian scientist developed a new theory, which states that some black holes may have a more complex internal structure, which lets photons, particles and even planets rotate in orbits inside their core without getting lost in their abyss. (more…)
Seth Shostak, chief astronomer of the SETI project engaged in the search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, stated that probably by 2040 electromagnetic signals of alien origin will be detected, writes Space.com. This forecast was made on the basis of data received from the space telescope Kepler. (more…)
Any arguments on the subject of extraterrestrial intelligence have always triggered a lot of assumptive statements. Whether they exist. Whether they are advanced. Whether they are intelligent. Whether they have reached the stage of civilization and technological progress. Whether they have been developing in the same way as we do on Earth … One way or another, our planet gives us the only known example of existence of life so far, and having no precise data about other life forms, we can only speculate about extraterrestrial life.
But if we rely on all of these assumptions, and accept that extraterrestrial life exists in (more…)
According to results of a British poll, almost 60% of people believe that extraterrestrial life exists, while a survey carried out by the University of Chicago states that only 37% actually believes in God.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Nick Pope, the former head of the project for investigation of UFO sightings of the Ministry of Defense, said: “Around 60 % of people believe that we are not alone in the universe. This means that actually more people believe in aliens than in God.” (more…)
It all depends on the conditions which exist on a potentially habitable planet. On planets covered with vast oceans life can exist in the form of water creatures resembling inhabitants of our marine environments. In a world with strong gravity and dense atmosphere large, strong and most likely aggressive (due to the harsh conditions of life) creatures may be present. In icy worlds, perhaps only bacteria can potentially exist. To survive, they may be forming giant networks.
This term is a result of the assumption that alien life, if it exists, must resemble Earth’s life forms. In particular, that is that basic molecules responsible for the metabolic chemical processes of life are represented primarily by carbon. It is apparent that this form of life is (more…)
