Did you know that empaths can be very successful entrepreneurs?

As an empath, you know what it is like to step into a room and immediately feel the energy.

And as you walk through life, you know what being an empath comes with. You may encounter random strangers approaching you on the street and telling you about their worries or life problems. As a child, you were probably sensitive to the stimuli from your environment, like certain noises, bright lights and strong smells, and you usually needed your alone time on a daily basis.

Anthon St. Maarten once said,

Empaths did not come into this world to be victims, we came to be warriors. Be brave. Stay strong. We need all hands on deck.

But what if you are also an entrepreneur? What can you do with the combination of these roles? As an empath-prenuer? You can actually leverage these special qualities to your advantage.

Here are 6 reasons why empaths make successful entrepreneurs:

1. You can get into your customer’s head.

As an empath, you can really feel what they need or want. You seriously just relate to them. You know what makes their heart vibrate with emotion. This quality lets you work on a higher level rather than just a strictly business one and allows you to see past the facades to know what people really want.

2. You can focus.

Since empaths aren’t into obligatory multitasking and they shy away from too much work coming at once, you can truly focus on the task at hand and zone in. The best part of being your own boss is that you make your own schedule. This way, you can keep it free of chaos or too many overly stimulating situations that allow for more focus on the task at hand.

3. You listen to your team.

As an empath, you have the ability to practice conscious listening and know what questions to ask. You know what to say to make each of your team members feel heard. Your team loves having you as their leader.

4. You get bored.

Yes, this is actually a good thing here. Empaths need to focus on work and activities that aid in stimulating creativity and passion. If you begin to get bored, you know what that means… what you are doing is not for you. This is what makes creative, passion-driven and successful entrepreneurs, which in turn can lead to success.

5. You possess a strong intuition.

No one needs to tell you certain things… you just know them. You can actually sense the key things that need to be done. Sometimes, you even know what is about to happen. It’s your gut feeling that is truly on point and this strong intuition is super helpful in business.

6. You can point out a liar.

Wondering if a potential business partner is lying or not? Are you interviewing a new employee? As an empath, you are on it. When you hear them speak, you notice their tone of voice, facial expressions, and gestures. You know right away if they are being truthful or not.

So many people assume that being an empath is disadvantageous in business with all the highly sensitive traits it entails, plus the inability to disassociate from emotion at times. However, as an empath, you are a natural entrepreneur. In this space, you can really maximize on how to reach more people on a deeper level, which opens the door to success.
