In order to learn how to live mindfully and meditate properly, many people jump into spiritual practices and take self-discovery journeys to the East.

You can also find many alleged “gurus” who have discovered ways to adapt (in most cases simplify) spiritual teachings for the Western mind. It is wonderful that we all have an opportunity to learn from other cultures and use diverse spiritual insights to improve the quality of our life.

However, there is one very important matter that is not being stressed enough. A lot of people treat meditation and spiritual practices as a panacea for everything. This notion gets them so high on their meditation that they forget to enjoy living here on Earth.

Yes, it is really blissful to reach the state of unity with the cosmos, but what about finding happiness through everyday living?

In order to reach spiritual enlightenment, many gurus spent their life meditating in search for the answers to existential questions like: “What is the purpose of life?”, “What is Love?”, “Who am I?”, “What are the Laws of our Universe?”, etc. So, if you want to exclusively dedicate your whole life to finding the answers to those questions, then meditate away.

However, you have to keep in mind that, in order to find the answers to those questions, spiritual teachers had to isolate themselves from the outside world.

It is much easier to live mindfully and become enlightened when you don’t have to deal with everyday problems of society. If you have chosen to live in the society of today, then you have probably noticed that everything is going through a rapid change.

It seems that everything that is happening in the world today is forcing everyone to find their own way to spiritual enlightenment, but without abandoning their lives in the society.

One of the greatest instruments that can help you cope with the change and bring clarity on your road of spiritual self-discovery is meditation and there are many ways you can do it (for example, check this powerful visualization technique called “DNA Tree of the Energy Flow”).

You can meditate alone to clear your mind from the trash and fears that are in the way of realizing your full potential. You can also join group meditations for the greater good of the planet and send Love to those who are suffering.

Yet, you have to remember – “Save yourself and thousands around you will be saved.” It may sound a bit selfish, but if you really think about it, there are two ways to change the world.

You can try to change everything that you consider wrong with this world (which is merely an imposition of your own ego) or you can start by changing yourself within. When you become proactive and concentrate within on the things that fall under your sphere of responsibility, you might find that the world around you have always been in balance.

Realizing your full potential (see How Knowing Your Cosmic Address Can Help Realize Your Potential) and taking proactive action saves a lot of time for you and for the Universe. Living in the creative process is the same as meditating together with the Universe while building a better world.

Harmonious living through creation and joy while evolving and realizing your full potential are the true best meditation for the XXI century. In other words, when you are channeling your creative essence to produce something or provide a quality service – you are “meditating” with a surplus.

You begin to live mindfully and you can always sense what needs to be done in order to be successful in life. At the end of the day, finding a way to effectively realize your full potential is what makes you happy in this life.

Here is a short video from one of the live seminars that I did in Portugal. It talks about spiritual enlightenment with a practical approach and new spiritual science Infosomatics that helped me with finding my own “best meditation”.
