Positive thinking helps you achieve success in all endeavors. Here are 3 secrets to putting it into practice:

1. The power of desire

Think about what you would like to achieve or what personality traits you would like to improve. Imagine for a moment that all this is possible.

Make yourself feel a strong desire to make your wishes a reality and reflect on the subject of your aspirations. Your goal should evoke vivid emotions and strong desires in you. This is when your motivation will be stronger than your fears and negative thoughts.

If you carefully think over the above, you will see that all this is not new for you. When you worry about something, you imagine a vivid picture of the potential negative outcomes. You do not make any effort but just persistently think of the possible failure. The only difference now is that you should turn the imagined negative results into positive ones.

With this continuous ‘playback’ of the image of the potential negative outcome in your head, it begins to seem more and more real to you. After some time, it automatically causes negative emotions: fear, anxiety, frustration. Now, by changing the ‘outcome image’, you can easily cause positive emotions in you.

By visualizing the desired outcome and reflecting on it, you make it more and more likely to happen, but this time, it causes enthusiasm, cheerful mood, confidence, and joy about future success.

2. Without trying, you will never know

Do not forget that your mind can act as a ‘mechanism of failure’ or as a ‘mechanism of success’ with equal ease, depending on the information that you put into it and on the goals you set.

After all, our mind is a ‘device’, which is striving for particular goals. Many of us unconsciously and unintentionally determine failure as our ultimate goal because our minds are full of the images of the possible negative outcomes.

Remember that your mind does not ‘negotiate’ the incoming information and does not question it. That is why it is very important to give it real and truthful information about the world.

The purpose of logical thinking is to find the truth and perceive the world as objectively as possible. In fact, most of us are inclined to underestimate ourselves and overestimate the nature of the challenges we face.

Many people get easily upset by a random negative comment from their co-workers or family members. When someone is treating them without respect, they begin to think that they must be flawed in some way.

Almost every one of us every day becomes a subject of negative suggestions from others and our own inner critics. But there is no need to blindly accept these suggestions. If you are criticized or get a negative comment, just tell yourself: “It is far from that.

The purpose of rational thinking is to come to a logical conclusion. The thought “I failed in the past, that is why I will certainly fail again” is not logical.

It is absolutely unreasonable to say to yourself “I can’t” in the absence of any evidence to support such a conclusion. Take the example of a person who replied to the question of whether he can play the piano like this:

– I don’t know.
– What does it mean “I don’t know”? – Followed a puzzling question.
– I’ve never tried to.

3. Decide what you want

The point is to decide what you want, to set goals you want to achieve, and focus on them. Don’t spend time and effort on identifying what you do not want because it is unreasonable. Check out detailed tips on how to discover what you really want from life.

You have to believe and trust your subconscious mind. Only by trusting it and acting on your goals, you can expect real results. You need to learn to do your job and act decisively but also try to believe in yourself and what you are doing.
