What will happen in 2017? you ask. According to predictions, quite a bit!

We’re all in shell shock right now, reeling from the multiple events and disasters of 2016. Last year being one of the most intriguing years in decades, had beloved celebrities dying left and right, while mass killings littered the new’s channels.

What could possibly be more outstanding and devastating than this past year? What will happen in 2017?

Of course, there were just as many innovations and discoveries, and this gives us hope for the future. Technology, in itself, has advanced so quickly that we can barely keep up. This can only be a good thing, and there will be more. So, it stands to reason that there have been both good and bad experiences in the past year.

Maybe you should take a look at what will happen in 2017.

It seems that 2017 promises to be a year of changes and memorable events, some of those events being traumatic and damaging. As always Nostradamus leaves grim predictions for the upcoming year, along with mystic Baba Vanga.

Reputable Predictions of Nostradamus

Born in 1503, Nostradamus predicted numerous events to come. Fascination with these predictions led the world to believe they could come true. Centuries later, he has been credited with predicting events such as Adolf Hitler’s rise to power and many of the terrorist’s attacks, both with uncanny similarity.

In fact, there are 10 volumes each containing over a hundred predictions covering the following 2,000 years.

Nostradamus predicted events which encompass the coming year. Here’s what’s in store for 2017.

The United States will experience more instability than it has encountered in decades. During the Trump presidency, it is said that the U.S. will become “ungovernable” under the current leader.

One Nostradamus translation states,

“The false trumpet concealing madness will cause Byzantium to change its laws.”

Followers of Nostradamus’ predictions understand this statement to either be an assassination attempt on the president’s life or the beginning of World War III.

Nostradamus also predicted the unification of the Ukraine and Russia, rough economic predictions for Italy, and continued changes in global warming.

The Wisdom of Baba Vanga

Although you may not be familiar with Baba Vanga, her predictions have been astoundingly close to actual events. This mystic herbalist from Bulgaria predicted 911 and the rise of the Islamic state, for instance.

She also said that the 44th president of the U.S. would be an African American. He did indeed prove to be African American and so happened to be our 44th president. This was intriguing in itself.

In a grim addition to this prediction, Baba Vanga said the 44th  president would be our last. So what of Trump? What does this mean? It can’t be good for the States.

The Blood Miracle reinforces negative predictions

In Naples, the congealed blood of the 4th century saint Januarius is supposed to liquefy during “blood miracle” ceremonies. This last attempt failed. According to reports, this is a bad omen and the last time it happened, there were earthquakes, a cholera epidemic and the Nazis occupied Italy.

So we wait in anticipation for what’s to come of this failed miracle as well.

But what is this… even science has predictions of its own, and these predictions are a little less grim, in fact, they are monumental! If you’re feeling rather down about the previous predictions, maybe this will make you feel better.

Science and Technology predictions

The year of 2017 will be considered the year that AI comes of age. This means that artificial intelligence will experience a great advancement in the medical field, with marketing agencies, and with many other focus areas – up to a 300% growth in technological advances, that is.

Computer intelligence will be like you’ve never seen it before – software will be able to research, diagnose and serve as security without the use of any human input.

2017 will also be the year of the first human head transplant, talked about vaguely in the past couple years. Now, in the beginning of 2017, we are on the horizon of seeing this step come to fruition.

Professor Sergio Canavero, Italian neuroscientist, is preparing to transplant the head of Valery Spiridonov, who suffers from Werdig Hoffman disease, onto a healthy donor body. Now, this I gotta see!

In medical news, Newcastle University in Britain is set to use fertilization and embryology to allow babies to be born with three sets of DNA instead of two. The second mother’s donor DNA will be used to cure any detectable diseases and illnesses within the womb.

So, what will happen in 2017?

There are many more of these predictions and forecasts for the near future. These events are just a small taste of what our new year has in store. Pay attention, listen to the soothsayers. Which predictions will come true, and which ones will simply be spectacular musings?

We will soon find out.

Head transplant? But wouldn’t that involve completely severing the spinal cord, resulting in physical paralysis?

They want to access if 7 minutes is enough to transplant / transfer the connections over. So basically they have to keep the head alive artificially until they do. Because 7 minutes is so short. Officially the head will be dead but supplied. They forget that if a bodies skin is burnt more than 80% the person dies. The body requires many brains in the body to survive. The gut you can survive without is one intelligence centre. The heart is an unknown brain processing centre. But again they have heart bypasses to pump blood to the brain instead. Unless they know more than they are saying they must have worked on all these issues. I suspect they with have two heads connected at all times with one body then try and withdraw the services of the other one to see if life is sustained. There is probably no way of getting the legs to move, but tetraplegia is theoretically possible with present technology. You would have to be desperate to try it or else consider it as legal euphonasia? Sorry I spell badly. NZ$
