How the Theory of Relativity Manifests in Our Life

Since Einstein’s introduction of his theory of relativity, this theory has been regarded as one of the most famous scientific theories of mankind. This theory that was formulated and presented to the scientific community as two complementary theories, i.e., special theory of relativity in 1905 and the general theory of…

Is Time Real? My Thought Experiment on the Nature of Time

For this thought experiment, I present to you different views of the time. My own hypothesis of time is just something I pondered as an alternative to the others. If you think each through, you’ll find that none are falsifiable, which means that you can’t prove any of them wrong.…

There May Be a Parallel Universe That Is Moving Backwards in Time

There are many things that we know about time and many other things that we still struggle to comprehend. Time, as we previously understood the concept, moves forward and forward alone. There are ways that allow for time travel, rather extensive ways that take a stretch of the imagination.  Have…

Italian Physicists Proposed the Concept of Liquid Space-Time

liquid space timeAn unusual theory was offered by Italian physics: space-time may be regarded as a superfluid, in which hydrodynamic quantum processes take place.

According to the theories of quantum gravity, space-time is not a continuum but a discrete matrix. On the lower level, space-time is a “quantum foam” of elementary particles sized 10-35 cm.

With such structures physicists are trying to explain the gravitational interaction at the quantum level. To date, there are many theoretical models of quantum gravity. However, none of them can be proved experimentally.

Stefano Liberati of the SISSA school (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati) in Trieste, Italy, and Luke Maccione of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, first proposed a model that provides for the possibility of empirical verification. (more…)
